Why did Little Debbie discontinue Marshmallow pie?

It is a shame that marshmallow pies have been discontinued, as they were one of the most delicious desserts ever made. They are trendy in summer because they are easy to eat and cool down quickly. However, their poor sales record was what ultimately led to their discontinuation.
